TAMISCAL Investigations

TAMISCAL Investigations are tasks or Webquests where students utilize problem solving and critical thinking skills to access information and resources online. Choose any of the following links to proceed to a TAMISCAL Investigation. We will consistently be making additions and changes to this page.

Investigating Wounded Knee and Leonard Peltier (new): Students investigate the evnts that occurred at Wounded Knee historically and in 1973 to determine whether Leonard Peltier should be released from prison.

Investigating Health Care (new): Students investigate health care in the United States and internationally to determine whether or not the United States government should provide Universal Health Care coverage.

Investigating William Shakespeare (new): Students investigate the world and life of William Shakespeare while making connections to and exploring Romeo and Juliet.

Investigating the 1920's: Students investigate the United States in the 1920's while making connections while reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Investigating the Vietnam War: Students investigate a variety of perspectives and perceptions of the Vietnam War.

Investigating Mark Twain and Life on the Mississippi: Students investigate Mark Twain and the cultural and physical geography of the Mississippi River while reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Investigating the Constitution (unfinished): Students investigate the concepts reflected in the Constitution of the United States. They study 18th century thinking about of these concepts that were debated in The Federalist Papers and The Antifederalist Papers.

Investigating the Industrial Revolution (new): Students investigate the Industrial Revolution while making connections with resistance to changes in today’s society.
